Night #1 of Puppet Uprising's 11th Annual Year-End Cabaret takes us deep into the hollows of a boarded-up stadium where a barkeep sets his blender to pulse, a traveling salesman hawks his popcorn, and a bird with glorious plumage gores one or two people a year. Meanwhile an unusual young person plots to disappear underground. CLAMLUMP, the Missoula Oblongata's newest touring production, promises the awe of misunderstanding, the privacy of laughter, and a sky dark with feathers.

Appearing alongside the Oblongatans are newly formed Philly performance collective No Face (Pig Iron-affiliates Rosie Langabeer, Mark McCloughan, Spencer Sheridan, and Gedney Barclay) with, "The Beautiful Refrigerator is Empty and other Domestic Dramas," a multimedia thrill chock full of mixed metaphor, all-encompassing dread, and a creeping sense of intrepid absurdity. Even more mysterious performances shall manifest courtesy of The Great Quentini and Puppet Uprising host Beth Nixon.

Beware Night #2 of the 11th Annual Year-End Cabaret, in which Puppet Uprising gets murdered onstage only to be exhumed as The Blood & Puppets Macabaret! In this cabinet of grotesque curiosities, you shall witness the darkest arts conjured and regurgitated through original music, spoken word, dance and puppet theater. Hosted by a Gruesome Spectrum of Shady Characters (Beth Blum, Kestrel Plump, Harper Evan Nelson and Geppetta), this evening is not really recommended for the faint at heart. You might also want to leave your dead horse at home, lest he be flogged.

The Blood & Puppets Macaberet is a benefit for the Sent(a)Mental Project, a collection of works created by artists affected by LGBTQ suicides. Click here to find out more.
