fiberart international was installed in the downstairs galleries at the pittsburgh center for the arts, but upstairs there are five other large galleries with awesome paintings by elizabeth mooney, very cool pigment prints by elin lennox, a haunting video by ben hernstrom and frank ferraro, some awesome materials based sculpture from thea augustina eck and interesting photography by james r southard. next it was off to the mattress factory to see the permanent exhibitions including, but not limited to, james turell, yayoi kusama and sarah oppenheimer and many others as well as their small, but cool, book and gift shop. we also went over to the mattress factory annex to see the current exhibition, nothing is impossible. we all heard, saw, learned, ate and talked a lot of awesome and amazing things during the weekend and i'm happy to have been a part of it.
